Are Asterix GPs eligible for ARRS funding?

Yes. In March 2026, the PCN DES contract was updated to remove the restrictions on GPs who are eligible for ARRS funding. This means PCNs can now take on remote GPs with Asterix using ARRS funding.

Can each practice in our PCN have a different SOP?

Yes. We co-design a bespoke SOP with every practice, so each one keeps its own way of working. Asterix GPs are trained and tested on each SOP before they start.

Which workstreams can we use across the PCN?

Managed test results, end-to-end clinical letters and acute phone consultations. Practices can mix and match — one practice might start with test results while another uses acute consultations.

How do we get started?

We typically start with an eight-week, no commitment pilot at a reduced pilot rate — often with one or two practices before rolling out across the network. You’ll get the full Asterix service, with none of the commitment.
